Comparative Study of Polyurethane Coating using Resin derived from Petroleum Oil Feedstock vs. Vegetable Oil Feedstock
Kemwerke commissioned DOST-ITDI-SCRDC to conduct monitoring exposure test on their Coconut Bioresin as a binder derived from vegetable oil feedstock in Polyurethane Coating as compared to crude oil feedstock origin Acrylic/Polyester Polyol Resin for 2 years for Corrosion performance on Protective Auto-Refinish, Industrial (factories) and Marine (offshores) environment.
Project is slated to start August 2010.
