Other Alkyd Resins

What are Other Alkyd Resins?

Kemwerke also produces other types of alkyd resins based on drying and non-drying oil. These alkyd resins are capable of oxidation in the presence of air to form a hard rigid and usable film.

Alkyds based on Soyabean Oil can be formulated to form short oil, medium oil and long oil alkyds. Each category differs from each other only in the amount of oil or fatty acid used in the alkyd formulation. The following are the grades of alkyd resins that Kemwerke produces aside from its strong product which is the coconut-based resins.
